Biological Description
Deciduous shrub with a vertical crown. At the age of 10 years, height 150-180 cm, width about 1 m.
Leaves are back-lanceolate, or narrow-obovate, pointed, narrow-wedge-shaped, yellow-green in color, 8-10 cm long. Autumn beautifully painted in yellow-orange colors.
Inflorescences are rounded, bear about 11 flowers.
The flowers are about 6 cm in diameter, widely funnel-shaped, the petals are wavy, pink, according to other descriptions - yellowish-pink with a bright red-orange spot.
Flowering at the end of the middle of the season. In Poland in mid-May [1] [2] .
In Culture
It withstands temperature drops of up to −32 ° С [2] . Location: sun or partial shade. The soil is acidic, moderately moist, rich in humus [1] .
