Geography
It occupies the north-eastern part of the city of Nazran . In the west it borders with the Central Administrative District , in the south - with the Nasyr-Kortsky Administrative District , in the east - with the Gamurzievsky AO . Nearby settlements: in the east are the villages of Barsuki and Gazi-Yurt .
History
As a result of the return of the Ingush to the plain on the territory of the city of Nazran, by 1840 several small villages were founded: Oraskha-Yurt, Avlur-Yurt, etc. After the suppression of the Nazran uprising, the military administration began to implement a plan to abolish small villages (hamlets) and create larger settlements . At this time, villages emerged, some of which, together with Altiev, are now part of the Nazran city as administrative districts: Nasyr-Kort ( Nasyr-Kortsky administrative district ) and Gamurzievo ( Gamurzievsky administrative district ) [2] .
The village of Altievo was founded by Alti Khisievich Malsagov. The name of the village was given in honor of its first headman, police officer Alti Khisievich Malsagov (Alti-Yurt) [3] .
In 1995, the village was abolished, withdrawn from the Nazran district of the Republic of Ingushetia and included in the city line of Nazran and transformed into the Altiyevsky municipal district of the city of Nazran [4] .
In 2009 it was renamed the Altiyev Administrative District [5] .
