Biography
From the hereditary nobles of the Kazan province. The son of the Sviazhsky district leader of the nobility, Prince Pavel Leonidovich Ukhtomsky (1861-1916) [1] and his wife Alexandra Germanovna Molostvova .
He graduated from the St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institute . He served in one of the guard regiments, was promoted to ensign of the army cavalry reserve.
With the outbreak of World War I, he was drafted into the Tekinsky Horse Regiment . He was promoted to cornet by the commander of the 9th Army (the production was approved by the Highest Order of December 26, 1915), and on assignments - September 2, 1916. Of the awards, he had the Order of St. Anne of the 3rd degree with swords and a bow (VP 19.06.1916). In 1917 he participated in the formation of the shock detachment of the 8th Army , in June of that year he was appointed his adjutant. After the enlargement of the detachment - adjutant of the Kornilov shock regiment .
With the outbreak of the Civil War, as part of the Kornilov Regiment, he joined the Volunteer Army , participated in the 1st Kuban campaign as a regimental adjutant. Then he served in the Kornilov Division as part of the Armed Forces of the South of Russia and the Russian Army until the evacuation of Crimea . On December 18, 1920 - at the headquarters of the Kornilovsky regiment in Gallipoli , in the autumn of 1925 - as part of the Kornilovsky regiment in Bulgaria, captain .
In exile in Bulgaria. He published a number of articles in the journal “Kornilovets”, made reports “The First Kuban Campaign” and “The Emergence of the Volunteer Army, its Creators and the Initial Tasks of the Army” at ceremonial meetings in honor of the anniversaries of the founding of the Volunteer Army. He wrote the article “The History of the Kornilov Shock Regiment” (the manuscript was stored in the Russian Foreign Historical Archive , then in the GARF ).
In 1929 he was ordained a priest. He was rector of the church on Shipka , then for 25 years - rector of the church in the name of St. the great martyr Panteleimon in Knyazhev ( Sofia ), founded by the Union of Russian military invalids. In 1937 he was elevated to the archpriest , in 1945 passed into the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate. He died in 1960 in Sofia. He was buried at the Russian invalid cemetery in Knyazhev.
He was married to Maria Alekseevna Neidgart, daughter of a member of the State Council, A. B. Neidgardt .
