Bramsky, Kazimir Antonovich

Kazimir Bramsky ( January 22, 1935 [1] , p. Sharki , Khmelnytsky region [1] ) - Ukrainian engineer, historian of Kyiv city ​​electric transport, researcher of the Kurenivsk tragedy . Member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Society for the Protection of Monuments of History and Culture [2] .

Biography

Born January 22, 1935 in a peasant family. In 1959 he graduated from high school and entered the Kharkov Institute of Utility Construction Engineering , after which in 1964 he began working in engineering positions in the city electric transport of Kiev. From 1975 [3] to 2015 he headed the technical department of the Tramway and Trolleybus Management Department, the municipal enterprise “Kiyevelektrotrans”, the municipal enterprise “Kievpastrans”. He made a significant contribution to the construction of the first Kiev light rail line in the USSR [4] .

Author (co-author, editor) of a number of publications on the history of Kiev electric transport [5] [6] [7] and his personalities [8] [9] [10] . Since 1967, he began to publish in the large-circulation newspaper “Kiev Electric Transport”, technical journals and periodicals [1] . Author of the articles “Tram” [11] and “Trolleybus” [12] in the Encyclopedic Reference Book “Kiev” , which was published on the 1500th anniversary of the city of Kiev, articles in the Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine : “ Veklich Vladimir Filippovich ” [13] , “Gakkel Yakov Modestovich ”,“ Dyakonov Vasily Kirillovich ” [14] and“ Abrahamson Arthur Adolfovich ”.

He made a great contribution to the design of the exposition of the Kiev Electric Transport Museum . He designed personal stands dedicated to outstanding electric vehicles - Vladimir Veklich [15] [16] , Vasily Dyakonov [14] , Stanislav Beykulu [2] and Isaac Katsov [8] . They also decorated a stand in memory of the founder of the museum, Lydia Livinsky.

He made a great contribution to the study of the Kurenyovskaya tragedy [17] [18] . In his initiative with the director of the Kiev Electric Transport Museum of Livinsky Lydia Arkhipovna, in commemoration of the tram depot workers who died during the Kureniv tragedy, a memorial sign was opened near its entrance in 1995, a chapel was decorated and a complete list of the dead electric vehicles was made [18] .

In preparation for the celebration of the centenary of the first in Eastern Europe, the Kiev tram [2] initiated and organized work on the creation, manufacture and installation of the Memorial sign. The sign was installed and inaugurated on June 14, 1992 at the Postal Square [3] .

In preparation for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the launch of the route of the first trolleybus train of inventor Vladimir Veklich, he initiated the installation of two memorial tablets dedicated to this event, the grand opening of which took place on June 14, 2016 [19] .

Socio-political activities

Repeatedly spoke in the press for the preservation of monuments of industrial architecture of Kiev [20] .
