Appodeal is a free service aimed at optimizing revenue from mobile advertising and aimed at mobile application developers. History
The service was founded in 2014 by Pavel Golubev, by that time already having five years of experience in developing and publishing mobile applications [1] . In 2011, Paul first came to the United States . The purpose of the trip was the development of Alfa Productions , a company engaged in publishing and promoting mobile applications [2] . Then he worked on the Columbis project, a SaaS service that automates the activities of travel agencies.
Wanting to increase the profitability of his own mobile applications, Pavel studied the market of traffic optimization tools, but was not satisfied with the existing solutions. So the idea came up to create a new service for optimizing revenue from mobile advertising. Over time, the project grew to independent and was called Appodeal , and for its implementation the company of the same name was founded [1] . The starting capital was 200 thousand US dollars invested by Pavel [2] , in the future they managed to attract another 3.1 million dollars as investments [3] [4] . Work on the project is carried out by a distributed team, the main office of the company is located in the Silicon Valley of San Francisco [2] .
Features
The work of the service consists in selecting and displaying the most profitable advertisement for the creators of the application. In general terms, the operation scheme is as follows:
- request: Appodeal requests ads;
- auction: receiving applications from advertising networks and choosing a winner;
- analysis: the service adapts to user behavior;
- display: display of the most profitable advertising [5] .
Appodeal provides access to the largest advertising networks, such as Chartboost , AppLovin , Amazon Ads , as well as to the main RTB- exchanges: Rubicon project , OpenX , Nexage , MoPub , Smaato .
Analysis of user behavior allows you to choose the most suitable type of advertising: CPI , CPC or CPM .
Among the frameworks, Unity , Cocos2d-x , LibGDX , Marmalade , Gideros , PhoneGap , Adobe Air , Basic4Android , Cordova , Xamarin , Game Maker are supported .
Using the service is free, no commission is charged. Payments to users of Appodeal are made on demand, without a mandatory expectation of NET30 or NET60 (30- or 60-day period). A request for payment of funds can be submitted already on the first day of using the service, while the minimum payment amount is $ 20. Payment is possible through Bitcoin , WebMoney , Yandex.
