The first league of Tajikistan in football ( taj. Ligai yakumi championship Toҷikiston ) is the second in terms of level and strength (after the Higher League ) national football league in Tajikistan . Like the Major League, held under the auspices of the Football Federation of Tajikistan . According to some data, it was founded in 1992, according to others - in 2004.

History
The year of foundation of the First League of Tajikistan is unknown for certain. According to some data (in particular, available on the Internet ), it was founded in 2004 . Before that, in Tajikistan, besides the Higher League , there were regional football leagues that replaced the function of the First League.
According to other unconfirmed data, the First League of Tajikistan was founded in 1992 , as in many other countries of the former Soviet Union . During this time, the tournament was held in different formats and with a different number of participants.
