Biography
Mark Valery was first mentioned in sources in connection with the events of 358 BC. e., when he became the head of the cavalry under the dictator Gai Sulpicia Petique and took part in the defeat of the Gauls [1] .
During both consulates, Mark Valery's colleague was the same Guy Sulpicius. In 355, Valery fought with the Tiburtians (either alone or with the second consul) and secured the election of two consul patricians the following year. [2] by order of the senate, he appointed a dictator [3] .
