Content
Club career
Baez began his career at the Juventud Las Piedras Club. On August 25, 2012, in his match against River Plate , he made his debut in Uruguayan Example [2] . On November 10, in a duel against Liverpool , Jaime made a “double”, scoring his first goals for “Huventood” [3] . At the end of 2014, Baes was interested in a number of European clubs, among which were Liverpool , Juventus , Inter , Milan and Ajax . A Uruguayan visited Liverpool several times and participated in the team’s preseason tour [4] , and in December the English club offered £ 3.2 million for the player, but the transition did not take place due to difficulties obtaining a work permit in England [ 5] . At the beginning of 2015, he transferred to Defensor Sporting on a rental basis. On March 7, in a match against the Phoenix , Baez made his debut for a new team [6] . In the summer of 2015, Baez moved to the Italian Fiorentina [8] . At the beginning of 2016, in order to receive gaming practice, he transferred to Livorno on a rental basis. On January 25, in a match against Como , Jaime made his debut in the Italian Serie B [9] .
In the summer of 2016, Baez was leased to the La Spezia club until the end of the 2016/2017 season [10] . On September 4, in his match against Latina , he made his debut for a new team [11] . In a duel against Ternana , Jaime scored his first goal for La Spezia. The club management also wanted to rent a Uruguayan for the 2017/2018 season [12] , but Baez chose another club and on August 17, 2017 went on a one-year lease, this time to Pescara [13] . On September 3, in his match against Perugia , he made his debut for a new club [14] .
International Career
In early 2015, Baez as part of the Uruguayan youth team took part in the home youth championship of South America . In the tournament, he played in matches against the teams of Venezuela [15] , Chile [16] , Peru [17] , Paraguay [18] , Argentina [19] , twice Colombia [20] [21] and Brazil [22] [23] . Jaime helped the youth national team win bronze medals.
In the summer of that year, Baez took part in the youth world championships in New Zealand . In the tournament, he played in matches against Mexico [24] , Mali [25] and Brazil [26] .
Game Style
Baez plays mainly in the positions of the central striker and left winger [10] . Baesu lacks technical skill, but thanks to his good speed and strong build, he feels quite confident in the game against the defenders. Jaime sees the field well and skillfully plays in the final phase of the attack [27] . At home, Baez was often compared with his compatriot Luis Suarez [4] .
