Biography

Initially, the group consisted of two members, Ulf and Joe, and began its activities from the end of 2000 - the beginning of 2001. Starting as an instrumental project with selective vocals, they signed with Beatservice Records to record a track in the winter of 2001. While listening to the finished version of the track, label manager Vidar Hannsen signed a contract with a still unnamed band to write the full album.

In the summer of 2001, Ulf and Joe recorded half of the album, and Anya improvised vocals. Then Joe put on the guitar.

In the spring of 2002, the band became known as Flunk, and members released their first single, a cover of New Order Blue Monday 's song, in April 2002. The track was well received in the UK and was also featured in numerous broadcasts in North America and Europe. Later in April, their debut album, For Sleepyheads Only , was released, which received positive reviews in Norway . After such success, the BBC invited the band to record a session for The Blue Room on Radio 1 in London . Notting Hill Art's Club will immediately become the venue for their live performances. In America, the group signed a contract with Guidance Recordings.

In the summer of 2002, the group receives rave reviews from British magazines and in July they perform at Norway's finest rock festival. In October, For Sleepyheads Only was recorded in America on Guidance Recordings. In November, Flunk performs at the London Jazz Festival.

In 2007, Flunk released his third album, Personal Stereo .
