Temples

The first temple in Vinnivka appeared in the 1770s, it was consecrated in the name of the icon of the Kazan Mother of God . In 1839, it was destroyed by fire [4] . In the early 1840s, the construction of a new stone temple begins. The initiator and sponsor of the construction was Anna Alekseevna Orlova-Chesmenskaya , but in 1843 she sold her estate on Samarskaya Luka , and the temple was being built with public money. Consecration took place in 1851 [1] .

The temple is a quadruple with a semicircular apse , refectory and a bell tower . The temple was very beautiful, made of red brick on a white stone base, with the same cornice slabs. Entrance portals were made of curly brick masonry; pattern brick was used in the design of the platbands. Outside, the temple was plastered and painted [1] .

The temple was closed by a resolution of the Samara district executive committee. The bells were removed and destroyed, the temple itself was planned to be blown up, but this idea was abandoned. It was used as a granary , a dining room , and later a stable [1] .

Two new temples were built in the created monastery. One was consecrated in honor of Sergius of Radonezh , the second - in honor of the Holy Trinity . In the ceremony of consecrating the Trinity Church on June 2, 2014, in addition to Metropolitan Sergius of Samara and Syzran, Metropolitan of Petr and Herronis of Cretan Archdiocese of the Patriarchate of Constantinople Nektarios took part [5] .
