History
On April 29, 1922, the Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers decided to create the Polish defense industry for the needs of the Polish army . Thus, the Central Council for Military Enterprises (Centralny Zarząd Wytwórni Wojskowych) was created in the Ministry of Defense. TsSVP created a weapons factory in Radom for 18,314,000 zlotys. The plant began to produce weapons in 1927. In the same year, he was subordinated to the arms concern “State Military Plants” (Państwowe Wytwórnie Uzbrojenia). December 31, 1927, the plant began its work under the leadership of Director Kazimierz Oldakovsky.
In 1990, the plant was called “Mechanical Plant" Archer "" (Zakłady Mechaniczne Łucznik).
In the 1990s, the plant almost went bankrupt due to the restriction of orders from the Polish army. In connection with the rearmament of the standards of NATO, the plant significantly improved its position, the Kbs wz submachine gun was put into series . 96 Beryl . At the same time, the MAG pistol lost the competition for a new Polish army pistol and the civilian self-loading rifle Radom Hanter lost demand.
By the end of the 1990s, the plant’s position deteriorated again and on November 13, 2000 it was declared bankrupt . On June 30, 2000, the Archer and the Industrial Development Agency created the Radom Arms Plant "Archer" company (Fabryka Broni "Łucznik" - Radom) on the basis of the plant.
In 2013, the plant received a net profit of 2 million zlotys with a total income of 56 million zlotys. A US manufacturing branch has been opened for local civilian arms sales. Built a new headquarters of the plant [1] .
