Biography

Hans Ulsson was born on December 18, 1964 in Gothenburg . He began to actively engage in rowing from early childhood, was trained in the local canoe club called "Nesets".

He achieved his first serious success at the international level in 1988 when he joined the main team of the Swedish national team and, thanks to a series of successful performances, won the right to defend the honor of the country at the Summer Olympics in Seoul - in the 1000-meter doubles at the distance of Anders Ulsen managed to reach the final stage of the tournament, but in the decisive race finished only seventh.

In 1990, Ulsson visited the World Championships in Polish Poznan, from where he brought a bronze medal award, won at a four-kilometer distance in four. Being one of the leaders of the Swedish rowing team, he successfully qualified for the Olympic Games of 1992 in Barcelona - in the program of kayaks-four on a thousand meters, he reached the final again and again showed the seventh result at the finish.

After two Olympics, Hans Ulsson for the next few years remained in the first team of the national team of Sweden and continued to take part in major international regattas. So, in 1991, he performed at the world championship in Paris, where he won a bronze medal in fours in a thousand meters - in the finals his crew went around the teams of Germany and Australia. Soon after the end of these competitions, he decided to end his career as a professional athlete, giving way to the team of young Swedish rowers.
