Biography

In 1116, he led the army sent by Vladimir Monomakh to the Danube to avenge the killing by the Byzantines of his son-in-law, the false Leo Diogenes . He planted planters in many cities on the Danube. [1] [2] [3]

In 1127, on the orders of Mstislav Vladimirovich, together with the Torquay [4] participated in the campaign of a large army against Davyd Vseslavich . The campaign ended with the expulsion of Davyd from Polotsk . [2] [5] [6]

In 1139, he went to Novgorod as the ambassador of Grand Duke Vsevolod Olgovich , who decided to approve Novgorod after his own family. [2] [4] [6]

In 1146, Igor Olgovich became established on the Kiev throne. Knowing that the people did not really want to see him as a prince, he tried to attract Uleb , Lazar Sakovsky and Ivan Voitishich, who are respected in the city, to their side. Not wanting to openly conflict with the prince, Voitishich and his associates verbally supported Igor, but they secretly invited Izyaslav Mstislavich to reign. When he approached Kiev with the army, the governors came to meet him with the army of Igor Olgovich, but at the last minute before the battle they switched to Izyaslav's side, predicting the outcome of the struggle.
