The provision on the current coat of arms was approved on September 20, 2006 by the Decision of the Assembly of Deputies of the municipal entity “Orsha Municipal District” [1] .

Emblem Description

Description of the coat of arms in accordance with the situation:

In a purple field there is a golden open wreath of flax branches; in the middle of the wreath there is a golden, ornamented, Mari ritual ladle, in the top of which is a bird.

The choice of flax stems for framing a coat of arms is not accidental. In Soviet times, flax was the main crop of the region, a flax factory operating here, supplying products to many enterprises in the country [2] .
