Decian's father was the famous poet Cilius Italik [1] . He also had a brother named Severus, who died before the death of their father [2] . In 94, Decian held the post of consul-suffice along with Titus Pomponius Bass . His name is found on a water pipe from Rome dating to the period after 102 years. In addition, Decian was a curator of public works in the capital.
