Gatier ( fr. Gattières ) is a commune in the south-east of France in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region , the Alpes-Maritimes department , Grasse district , canton of Nice-3 [1] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton of Carro (Grasse district).

Economics
In 2010, out of 2608 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years), 1884 were economically active , 724 were inactive (72.2% activity indicator, 70.5% in 1999). Out of 1884 active able-bodied residents, 1757 people worked (894 men and 863 women), 127 were unemployed (59 men and 68 women). Among 724 able-bodied inactive citizens, 256 were pupils or students , 266 were pensioners , and another 202 were inactive for other reasons [7] [8] .
