Ixodes lemuris (lat.) - a species of ticks of the genus Ixodes from the family Ixodidae . Africa Parasites on mammals : among the hosts, black lemur ( Eulemur macaco ). The species was first described in 1958 by the English entomologist Don Ramsay Arthur , King's College, University of London ) ^[1] ^[2] ^[3] ^[4] .

One host species: black lemur ( Eulemur macaco ), on which the ticks Ixodes lemuris parasitize .
