Katsura Hoshino ( Japanese 星野 桂 Hoshino Katsura , born April 21, 1980 ) is a mangaka native to Shiga Prefecture . She made her debut in July 2003, publishing her first Continue manga series , and became famous thanks to the work of D.Gray-man , which began in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in May 2004 .
