The Order of the Republic is the second most important state award of the Republic of Turkey for civil merits.

History
The order was established on August 7, 1988 .
Appointed by the President of Turkey in agreement with the Council of Ministers to the heads of foreign governments, ministers and members of diplomatic missions in recognition of their contribution to the rapprochement of peoples, increasing friendly relations between countries and the Republic of Turkey.
In 2013, order reform was carried out, which changed the appearance of the order.

The badge of the order is a twenty-four-pointed star, the rays of which are diverse in the form of a "dovetail" covered with white enamel with a gold border, with the five-pointed star crowning the shortest six rays. A similar smaller star with beams coated with blue enamel is superimposed on the star. In the center is a round medallion of red enamel with a border of green and white enamel. The medallion is covered with white enamel with a crescent horns up and a five-pointed star above it. Around the medallion is a wreath of two laurel branches of green enamel.
The badge with the help of a transitional link in the form of two laurel branches of white enamel with a gold border, between which a red enamel shield with the abbreviation “TS” is placed, is attached to the red ribbon with white stripes lagging behind the edge.
The insignia of the order include its symbols, including the order plate, which is a gold plate with an ornamental border, covered with white enamel with a gold floral ornament and a miniature sign of the order in the center.

The badge of the order is a six-pointed golden star, the rays of which are formed from different-sized petals, in a group of five, covered with alternating enamel: three short - white, two long - red. A twenty-four-pointed star is superimposed on the star, the rays of which are diverse in the form of a “dovetail” with a gold rim covered with alternating white and red enamel. In the center of the star there is a round medallion of red enamel with white enamel with crescent horns to the right and a five-pointed star.
On the reverse side, the sign has a hairpin for attaching to clothing.
