Halycaea sugonjaevi (lat.) - a species of parasitic riders of the genus Halycaea from the family Braconidae . Southeast Asia: Vietnam (Thua Thien-Hue). The female is 13.6 mm long (front wing 9.0 mm). Head is reddish-red, chest, antennae and abdomen are black. Tegulae yellow, palps white. Antennae 70-segmented. The species was first described in 2015 by the Vietnamese entomologist Khuat Dang Long (Institute for Ecology and Biological Resources, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology , Hanoi , Vietnam ) and the Russian hymenopterologist S. A. Belokobylsky ( ZIN RAS , St. Petersburg , Russia ). The species name was given in honor of the major Russian entomologist Professor Evgeny Semenovich Sugonyaev (1931-2014). The species is similar to Halycaea sonata Belokobylskij [1] [2] .
