Biography

In the early days of World War II, he was drafted by the Voroshilovsky RVK (Odessa) into the army. He was sent to the 450th airfield maintenance battalion ( 2nd Air Army ) as an assistant chief of the combat department.

Since March 1943 - the commandant of the airfield in the same battalion, since September 1943 - the assistant commander of the battalion. As part of the 2nd Air Army, a war was fought from the Caucasus to Berlin. He finished the war with the rank of major.

After World War II, Major V. T. Ruzheinikov worked at the Odessa Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages (OPII): teacher, associate professor, head of the department of pedagogy and psychology.

In 1945-1948 he participated in the training of specialists for elementary schools, which were prepared by the 11th Pedagogical class of school No. 90 [1] - he lectured and worked in the commission for the reception of state exams.

In 1947, V.T. Ruzheinikov defended his thesis on the topic: "Film lesson." In his work, V. Ruzheinikov, a scientist, considered cinema as a dynamic visual aid, believing that this type of art contains almost all the qualities of visual aids that were used and are used by the teacher in the pedagogical process. In his work, he made an attempt to prove that the main form of using cinema for educational purposes is a cinematic lesson.

In his works V.T. Ruzheinikov investigated the problems of the influence of cinema on the educational process, arguing that the introduction of cinema into the pedagogical process contributes to an increase in memory.

The recommendations made to scientists were a significant step forward compared with recommendations of this kind in the literature of the thirties of the 1930s. Dwelling on the question of the art of commenting on a film by a teacher, V. T. Ruzheinikov advised to be concise when posing questions during a film demonstration, not to ask double questions such as “what did you see in the movie and what do you know about this issue”; to stimulate the full response of students even if because of this it will be necessary to reduce the time for showing the film; repeat, if appropriate, the demonstration of the film during the student’s story.

In 1960, when OPII joined to Odessa State University. I.I. Mechnikova , Victor Timofeevich Ruzheinikov headed the department of pedagogy. He died in 1986. He was buried in Odessa .
