Career
He began his career in one of the most famous basketball programs in the USA - St. Johns University. Over the course of 4 seasons, the defender was one of the team leaders, and in the 2009/2010 season, DJ became the most productive player in the Red Storm. In the 2011 season, the St. Johns University team made it to the NCAA Final for the first time in 9 years.
DJ started his professional career in the same year in the D-League club “ Eri Bayhawks ”. The season for Kennedy was so successful that at the end of the regular season he was invited, and eventually signed a contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA team. In the 2012/2013 season, Kennedy returns and holds another successful season in the D-League , playing for Erie Bayhawks and Rio Grande Valley Vipers . In total, Kennedy spent 93 matches in the D-League , gaining an average of 16.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.
In Europe, the defender has been playing since 2013. After a short stay in the French "Gryvlin" , Kennedy signs a contract with the Israeli "Hapoel" from Holon. According to the results of the 2013/2014 season , Hapoel entered the playoffs of the Israeli championship , and DJ became one of the most useful players in the team, gaining an average of 12.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
Kennedy began the season 2014/2015 as part of the Volgograd "Red October" [1] . In 4 meetings, DJ showed average statistics equal to 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists, but a month after the start of the regular season he moved to the Ludwigsburg German club. In the German Championship, DJ became not only the leader of his team, but also topped the list of league snipers. The final average Kennedy statistics in 25 matches for was 18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 interceptions in 35 minutes on the floor.
In August 2015, he became a player in the Krasnoyarsk Yenisei [2] . In the VTB United League, Kennedy statistics were 15.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game on average.
In September 2016, Kennedy signed a contract with Denver Nuggets [3] , but was expelled from the team a month later [4] .
In March 2017, Kennedy returned to Ludwigsburg, signing a contract until the end of the 2016/2017 season [5] .
