Kinks is the debut album of the same name by the British rock band The Kinks , released in 1964. In the USA, it was published under the name You Really Got Me [4] .

In 1998 and 2004, the album was reissued in the UK by Sanctuary and Castle Records with twelve bonus tracks. March 28, 2011 released a deluxe version [3] .

Critics' ratings
Allmusic called the album inconsistent, commenting: “As R&B cover artists, the Kinks were not as good as The Stones and Yardbirds ; instrumental motives of Ray Davis - a rather superficial parody of the Mersibite ; as well as those tunes that were written by their producer Shel Talmi were ... just disgusting. There are three songs in the US version. “I Took My Baby Home” was already licensed by Cameo Records as a b-side to “Long Tall Sally”, so it could not be included in the album. And “I'm a Lover Not a Fighter” and the instrumental “Revenge” were left for their exclusive American album Kinks-Size .
