The parish on which the church is founded and which the title was transferred was established on January 1, 1974 by Cardinal Vicar of Rome Hugo Poletti by Quo uberius decree and is served by the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary from Mount Carmel . The church was consecrated October 4, 1986 forever and ever by Cardinal Hugo Poletti. The parish complex was designed by Giuseppe Spina and is the property of the Pontifical Society for the Preservation of Faith and the provision of new churches in Rome.
