Biography
In the internal affairs bodies of the USSR since 1969. He worked in Rybnitsa , then was head of the Tiraspol city department of internal affairs [4] , from the beginning of the 1980s he was transferred to Chisinau as deputy minister, then. about. 1st Deputy Minister of the Interior of Moldova. He was elected a deputy [1] of the Rybnitsa District Council of People’s Deputies (in Soviet times), the Tiraspol and Bendery City Councils (in Transnistria).
In April-May 1990, he rescued the deputies of the Parliament of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova from the left bank (the future of Transnistria) from the mob of the Popular Front [4] . In May 1990, as the head of the Moldovan law enforcement forces sent to Bender to pacify the strikers, did not fulfill the requirement of the Moldovan Government leadership to disperse the strikers of Bender , but instead, jointly with the working committee ( OSTC ) of Bender, he organized the blocking of access roads into the city, not allowing the entry of activists of the CDFM [1] .
The Moldovan leadership dismissed Grosula from office, but at the written insistence of the leadership of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs, he remained in office until early 1991.
On November 2, 1990, Yuri Grosul warned residents of Dubossary about leaving the CDFM volunteer columns accompanied by the police in their direction.
In February 1991, he was dismissed from work in Chisinau for discrediting without the right to receive a seniority pension. Since March 1991, becomes one of the organizers of the law enforcement system of the PMR [5] . May 6, 1992 became the head of the Interior Department of the PMR (later renamed the Interior Ministry PMR) [6] .
In September 1991, he was attacked by OPON Moldavia with the use of nerve gas, with an attempt to take him in a paralyzed state to Chisinau . The forces of the Interior Ministry of the PMR were able to prevent this abduction. In the course of the attack, he was injured (spinal cord injury). Having become disabled, he was still able to start work, but already in July 1992, he was replaced as Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR by his 1st Deputy Yuri Ovsyannikov , who had been formerly several times by that time. about.
