Lucius Papyrius was elected consul after three military tribunes with the consular authorities resigned. Lucius Sempronius Atratin became his colleague. The consular term for Papyri and Sempronius is the renewal of the union treaty with Ardea .
In 443 BC e. both ex-consuls became the first censors in the history of the republic, “so that by filling this post they would fill up the inferiority of their consulate” [1] .
