Anatoly Ivanovich Podzarey (born April 2, 1938, Kerch ) is a mining engineer, participant in the construction of all the tunnels on the Baikal-Amur Railway , head of the tunnel detachment No. 16, who built the Severomuisk railway tunnel .

Biography
Born on April 2, 1938 in the city of Kerch . In 1958 he graduated from the Kerch Mining and Metallurgical College and worked for three years at the coal briquette factory of the Alexandriaugol Trust. In 1965 he graduated from the Kryvyi Rih Mining Institute , received the specialty of mining electrical engineer, and in 1971 - a diploma of mining engineer and economist of the Kharkov Mining Institute .
From 1965 to 1975 he worked in the Donbass - at the Novo-Gorlovsky machine-building plant of mining equipment, first as a design engineer, foreman, site manager, then head of the industrial transport department of the Kalinin district committee of the city of Gorlovka .
From 1975 to 1985 - in Eastern Siberia on the Buryat section of the BAM in the BAMtonnelstroy UE - power engineer, mechanic, head of the VET unit, secretary of the party committee of the Office, head of Tunnel unit No. 16.
From 1985 to 1990 - in the city of Protvino, Moscow Region, at the construction of the tunnel of the accelerator-storage complex (UNK) of protons by the head of Tunnel Detachment No. 16.
While working in the Donbass, he participated in the development and creation of a number of drilling rigs at the Moscow Design Institute TsNIIpodzemash, which were widely used in the coal and mining industries of the USSR. In 1967, he participated in the Plovdiv International Fair in Bulgaria , represented the mining equipment of the USSR .
While working at BAM, he built Nagorny, Baikal , Kodarsky and Severomuisky , as well as Cape tunnels . He has gone from an ordinary engineer to the head of Tunnel Detachment No. 16.
From 1982 to 1983, he assisted in the construction of the Megredzor tunnel in Armenia .
For the first time in domestic tunneling, he introduced new equipment from foreign companies (Brokk, Tamrock, Furukawa, Tony's Boring, Worthington). He participated in the development and implementation of a number of new technologies and engineering solutions in collaboration with a group of specialists. He has four copyright certificates. At BAM, he provided great patronage assistance to collective farms and state farms in the arrangement of villages, the development of public health in the North Baikal region .
During the construction of the UNK in the city of Protvino, he introduced a number of new underground tunneling technologies developed by SKVT Glavtonnelmetrostroy, with the achievement of high penetration speeds. He took part in the construction of the Moscow Metro, a number of special tunnels in Moscow and the Moscow region [1] , including under the Moscow Ring Road .
From 1973 to 1992 he was elected as a deputy of the district and city Council of People's Deputies of the cities of Gorlovka , Severobaikalsk , Protvino .
Family
Married. Wife Larisa Leonidovna - master of women's clothing. Son Vladimir graduated from the Tula Polytechnic Institute , a mining civil engineer.
Rewards
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor , four medals and the VDNKh silver medal. By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic dated November 18, 1981, he was awarded the title “Honored Builder of the Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic”, elected Honorary Citizen of the North Baikal Region [2] , and has the badge “ Inventor of the USSR ”.
