Velika ( Croatian. Velika ) is a community with a center in the village of the same name in the eastern part of Croatia , in the Požez Slavonic County . The population of the community is 5,607 people ( 2011 ), the population of the village is 2,117 people [1] . In addition to the administrative center, the community also includes 23 more villages.

Most of the population of the community are Croats - 95.2%, Serbs make up 3.9% of the population [2] .
Community settlements are located in the northern part of the Pozhiezh valley on the southern slopes of the Papuk ridge. The town of Požega is 8 km south. Through Velika runs the highway Pozhega - Slatina , passing through Papuc.
Velika is used by many nature lovers as the starting point for walks in the Papuk Natural Park [3] .
