Lev Davydovich Budnitsky (June 29 (July 12), 1915, Oster , Chernigov Province , Russian Empire - August 10, 2001, Tomsk , Russia ) —the leading industrial worker of the USSR, director of the Tomsk Cutting Tools Plant (1962-1989). Hero of Socialist Labor (1985).

Content

Biography

Since 1929 he worked as a locksmith apprentice in a handicraft workshop , since 1931 - in Kiev, a locksmith in a weaving and spinning mill. He studied at the Magnitogorsk Mining College (1933-1935).

He graduated from the Moscow Engineering Institute (1940), a mechanical engineer with a degree in cold metal processing. He worked at the Fraser plant in Moscow, as a design engineer, head of the design bureau.

In 1941, together with the plant, he was evacuated to Tomsk, where in 1942 the Tomsk Tool Plant was created on evacuated equipment (in 1943 it was renamed the Tomsk Cutting Tool Plant). He has consistently held managerial positions at the plant, since 1954 he was the chief engineer of the plant. In 1962-1989 - Director of the plant.

The author of several inventions.

His son is a radio physicist and engineer Davyd Lvovich Budnitsky (born 1945).
