Cryptocapnos (Latin) is a monotypic genus of dicotyledonous plants of the Poppy family ( Papaveraceae ), including the species Cryptocapnos chasmophyticus Rech.f. [2] . Selected by the Austrian botanist Karl Heinz Rehinger in 1967 [3] .

The Cryptocapnos chasmophyticus species was also known under the synonymous name Fumaria chasmophytica ( Rech.f. ) Parsa [4] .
