Apuley Rufin

Apuleius Rufinus ( Latin: Apuleius Rufinus ) - Roman politician of the second half of the II century.

Apuley Rufin
lat Apuleius rufinus
Consul Suffect of the Roman Empire
190 year

Nothing is known about the origin of Rufin. In 190, he held the post of consul-suffice along with the future emperor Septimius Severus . Sometimes his name is reconstructed as Atulen Rufin. If this reconstruction is true, then between 203 and 205, Rufin was a member of the priestly collegium of the Quindetsemvir clergy . It is also possible to identify him with the proconsul of Africa in 203/204 by Rufinus and Quintus Cecilius Apuleius Rufinus.
