Member of the Civil War, was injured.
He graduated from Leningrad University (1926, astronomical and geophysical department). As a student, he participated in geological expeditions.
In the years 1925-1944. geophysicist, head of the geophysical sector of the geological exploration committee in the Embaneft trust. In 1931-1932 he directed gravimetric observations on South Emba. He lectured on the interpretation of gravitational anomalies in the Guryev Mining and Petroleum College.
Since 1945, he worked in Leningrad at the All-Union Scientific Research Petroleum Geological Exploration Institute (VNIGRI).
Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1949). Senior Researcher (1950).
The 1966 Lenin Prize - for participating in the discovery of the oil and gas province in South Mangyshlak and the exploration of the Uzen and Zhetybai fields.
