Biography
He graduated from the Warsaw Institute of Music (1892), a student of Stanislav Bartsevich [1] . Then he improved his skills in St. Petersburg under the leadership of Leopold Auer . Returning to Warsaw, he concentrated mainly on his teaching career, for many years he was a professor at the Warsaw Conservatory , one of the creators of the modern Polish violin school.
Mikhalovich was, in particular, the first teacher of Bronislaw Huberman [2] , prepared for the first responsible competition performance Ida Handel [3] . Among his other students are Shimon Goldberg [4] , Roman Totenberg , Josef Hassid , Henrik Schering , Eugene Uminska . In 1935 he was a member of the jury of the first International Wieniawski Violin Competition .
He performed with chamber concerts.
Allegedly a victim of the Holocaust .
