Ansaldo Anchor

Ansaldo Anchor.

Ansaldo anchor ( English Ansaldo anchor ) - one of the types of modern anchors of high holding power. Designed at the Ansaldo Italian shipyard and most common on Italian-built ships.

Design

The anchor has a molded box, close legs with a reduced grip area, a round spindle. In general, it looks like a Bayers anchor , from which it differs by slightly curved paws, with stiffening ribs giving them a knife-like shape. The streamlined box and the shape of the paws allow the anchor to dig deeper into the ground.
