According to the Mythological Library , he was the son of Ikarius and the naiadas of Peribei, and had the brothers Foant, Imebsius, Aletus, and Damasippus [1] . Scholiast for the Odyssey gives him a slightly different genealogy: his mother - Asterodia, brothers and sisters - Amasih, Falerii, Foon, Ferememeliy, Laodamia and Penelope [2] .
According to Pausanias , referring to connoisseurs of Peloponnesian antiquities, it was Perilay, and not Tyndari , who was no longer alive, who demanded that Erinius take revenge on Orestes for the blood of Clytemnestra , his cousin [3] . This seems more logical from the point of view of chronology [4] .
