Praga V3S ( V ojenská 3 tunová S peciální - Military Three-ton Special) is a Czechoslovak-made military (later civil) off-road truck, which was produced by Prague Gostivarz in Prague-Vysocany , and later in Prague-Letnany and Bratislava .

In 1956, the Praga S5T truck was designed based on the V3S.
The V3S also produced the M53 / 59 PRAGA V3S anti-aircraft system, used in Czechoslovakia , Yugoslavia , Iraq and Libya , as well as the Serbian army during the Bosnian war against infantry.

Design Description
The Praga V3S has a frame assembled from side members and cross members.
The engine is a four-stroke, six-cylinder in-line diesel engine with air cooling.
The driver's cab has a short hood , the driver and passenger seats are separated by a removable cover for inspecting the engine (as in RAF-2203 ).
Transmission - four-speed, transfer case - two-stage with front axle disengaged.
Driving axles - continuous (“beam”), with final drives , thereby achieving increased ground clearance (as on the UAZ-469 ).
Suspension - spring , dependent.
The drive of the front steered wheels is on double crosses with needle bearings .
The service brake is pneumatic.
Praga V3S in the USSR
In the USSR, the Praga V3S was exported, as a rule, with a kung with a fluorographic apparatus installed in it. Intended for medical examinations of residents of remote settlements.
