Chassis
The design is based on the traditional ridge frame for Tatra , which is a pipe inside which transmission elements are located. Such a frame very well resists bending and torsion, and also made it possible to make the chassis modular - cars with different wheelbases and the number of axles were produced. The wheels of all axles were single-wheel, with a central tire inflation system. All-wheel suspension is independent.
Engine
The power unit was the T-930 - an air-cooled multi-fuel V12 diesel engine , which was a further development of the T-928 eight-cylinder engine, mounted on the Tatra T138
