Description

Training stations in the main building of QQEnglish

QQ English is located in an office building in Skyrise 4 ITPark in the center of Cebu [2] . The emergence of the school was due to an increase in the number of foreign enterprises in the Philippines, which required specialists with knowledge of the English language. For the first time in the country, such establishments opened companies from South Korea , later Japanese corporations entered the market [1] [3] . The founder of the institution is Japanese Raiko Fujioka ( born Raiko Fujioka ), previously importing motorcycles from Europe. According to him, his intuition prompted him, "that it will be a good business." Having sold his assets, including his condominium in Tokyo, he invested 400 million yen in the school [1] , including $ 4 million in investments [2] . In the organization, he holds the post of president and CEO [2] . QQ English expanded its area with the mediation of the director of the Department of Tourism, Rowena Montekilo, and in May 2012 moved to another building [4] . In 2015, a new eight-story building was opened on the resort island of Mactan . About 550 students study at the same time at both campuses [1] . The main building houses 120 classrooms [2] . The duration of schooling is not limited - classes take from one week [1] or more. About 8 lessons are possible in one day [5] . The school, among other things, specializes in online training courses using the Skype program [1] . The number of online students as of 2012 was three thousand people [4] . The cost of a monthly membership fee is equivalent to 3,980 yen, which is converted to 400 points. The student spends points for training in the amount of 25 to 100 points per lesson. In order to choose the right program, the first two classes are free [6] .

As a rule, the process itself is one on one with the teacher. About 600 Filipino instructors teach at the school for two shifts - one of them starts in the early morning and the other in the late evening. According to online programs, 10 thousand foreigners study, of which 80 percent are Japanese, 20 percent of Chinese, Koreans, Russians, Iranians, and people of other nationalities [1] . School staff from these countries attract new students [3] . As of 2012, the Japanese made up 90% of all students [2] . It is planned to develop programs with an emphasis on Brazil and Italy . In the Mactan corps, he teaches Hideo Kageyama, a professor at Ritsumeikan University , known for his mathematical methodology, Hyakumasu Keisan , which he reworked to study English. Some Filipino teachers received additional training at Meiji University in Tokyo [1] . Other teachers studied at the Cambridge Research Center for English and Applied Linguistics [2] . QQ English collaborates with ten universities [1] , as well as ALC Corporation [2] . The development of English language training programs in the Far East has led schools to participate in the Pacific International Tourism Exhibition [7] . The annual profit reached about 700 million yen in 2013 and was supposed to overcome the 1 billion yen mark in 2014 [1] .

Performance Measurement

Journalists noted the availability of tuition fees [5] [6] , and also positively assessed the features of teaching, in particular, the completely English-language environment outside the school [5] . Living expenses account for about half of the same indicator for Malta [3] . The Nikkei newspaper ranked QQ English in second place in the ranking of the most economically accessible Sebuan schools per month of instruction, noting a more convenient learning mechanism compared to the leader of DMM [6] . An attractive climate for education is also a warm climate and trouble-free visa application [3] . The ability to learn tête-à-tête makes the process itself more convenient compared to the United States and other countries [1] . The development of the school contributes to the status of the Philippines as a popular tourist center [2] .
