The Afghan-Tajik bridge in Nizhny Pyanj is a two-lane automobile bridge across the Pyanj River 672 meters long and 11.6 meters wide. The bridge was built across the Panj River, the closest Tajik city is Nizhny Pyanj , the Afghan city is Sherkhan-Bandar . August 26, 2007 the opening of the bridge.

Construction
The construction of the bridge cost approximately $ 40 million, financing was provided by the US engineering forces , the Italian company Rizzani de Eccher was involved in the design and construction. Tajik President Emomali Rahmon , Afghan President Hamid Karzai , and US Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez at the opening ceremony [1] [2] [3] .
