Career
Angel was born in the city of San Carlos de la Rapita , Tarragona , Catalonia , and began playing in the local clubs Tortosa , Reus Deportiu , Girona , Sant Andreu , Terrace , which performed in lower leagues of Spain. In the summer of 2007, he signed a one-year contract with the club of the First Football League of England “ Swansea City ”. At that time, the team was led by compatriot Angel Roberto Martinez [3] . In his first season for Swansea City, Angel played a huge role and helped the club return to the Championship after a 24-year absence. On November 27, 2007, Rangel scored his first goal for the club, it happened in the eighth minute of the match against Hartlepool United [4] . Two weeks later, Angel scored a second goal in a match against Southend United [5] . At the end of the season, Angel was selected to be the team of the year of the First Football League of England . On September 5, 2008, Angel signed a new contract with the club until June 2010 [7] .
Rangel continued to play a huge role in the club in subsequent years and in mid-February 2010 extended the contract until June 2011 [8] . The 2010/11 season was a success for Angel and Swansea. The club entered the Premier League for the first time in its history, defeating Reading in the final of the playoffs with a score of 4: 2 [9] .
After entering the Premier League, Angel signed a new contract for three years [10] . In November 2011, Angel was recognized as the best defender in the Premier League [11] .
Rangel scored the first goal in the Premier League on August 25, 2012 in a match against West Ham United [12] . March 8, 2013 signed a new contract with the club until 2016 [13] .
On August 15, 2018, Rangel moved to Queens Park Rangers . On November 24, 2018, he scored twice in a match with Stoke City , scoring his first goals for the club.

Rangel applied for the citizenship of Wales, but was denied because he had not received education in the country for 5 years.
