Originally from Hungary , he entered the order in 1607 , was a teacher of philosophy, mathematics and theology at Messina , then a member of the Roman Congregation for the Propaganda of Faith . He left several scientific papers in various fields of knowledge; the most important: “Annales Ecclesiastici Regni Hungariae” (vol. I, 1644 ) and “Historia (sacrae) latinitatis libri IV” (Milan, 1638 ). Inhofer was considered the author of the satire "Monarchia Solipsorum" (Venice, 1645 ), but Pope Innocent X after the investigation ordered the release of Inhofer from suspicion; later, the author was discovered in the person of ex-Jesuit Julius Clement count Scotti ( Giulio Clemente Scotti ).
