Byron Nelson was born in Fort Ware , Texas . At birth, he received the name of John Byron Nelson Jr. In 1926, he became a caddy , a player’s assistant, serving balls and clubs, which allowed him to gain experience by watching the game. In 1932 he professionally took up the game. In 1937, Nelson won the first professional tournament in his career, and in 1939 for the first time won the US Open. In 1940 and in 1945, became the champion of PAG. In 1945 he won 11 consecutive competitions. Since 1946, has ceased to speak. During his career, he won 52 victories in the PGA Tour tours.
