Biography
He studied well at the aviation school, but in 1950, after being arrested in the 4th year, he was sent for three years to a labor camp (Sora molybdenum mine) in Khakassia , where he worked in a hospital. Freed, he left for Kazakhstan .
In 1956 he graduated from the Alma-Ata State Medical Institute . In 1956-1957 - Sanitary doctor of the republican sanitary-epidemiological station.
Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1958 . In 1959 he graduated in absentia from the Literary Institute. A. M. Gorky in Moscow .
He was a correspondent of the newspaper " Medical Worker " in Kazakhstan, a literary consultant to the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan . About 20 years (intermittently) was a member of the editorial board, department of documentary prose and deputy editor in the journal Prostor , where he quit five times “of his own free will”.
Writer
The first story, “The daughter of a professor,” was published in 1955 in the journal Soviet Kazakhstan, later renamed Prostor. He wrote the novels Snowstorm Snow, Deficit, Officials, autobiographical - I Do Not Sorry, I Do Not Cry, I Go Out Alone, Save the Fire, The Burden Machine, and Morning Again ”,“ Fifth Corner ”,“ Too Good Heart ”,“ Crazy Week ”,“ Lazarus Day ”,“ Yellow Wheel ”,“ I Want Eternity ”,“ Cold Key of Oblivion ”and others [1] .

Born in the Kazakh steppes Shchegolikhin deeply imbued with love for his country.
