Biography
Born in the village of Pesochny (St. Petersburg) . He started orienteering when he was 10 years old. 9 years later, at the Junior World Championships, he won his first international medal - relay gold. In 1995, he replenishes his medal sheet with silver - long and bronze - middle. 2000 - the first podium at the World Cup in Lahti (Finland) - bronze. The year 2002 was the most successful in Mikhail's career, gold at the European Championships and a full set of medals at the stages of the World Cup (gold, silver, bronze). After 2 years, he, as part of the Russian relay team, takes second place at the World Championships in Sweden.
Speaking for Italy
In the same (2004), he married the Italian Sabine Rottensteiner and moved to Italy, where in 2006 received Italian citizenship. At the 2009 World Cup in Hungary, Miskolc took third place in the long run. Champion of Italy 2005, 2006, 2009, 2011, 2012. In addition to orienteering, she is fond of mountaineering and reading books.
