It is located at the intersection of the Polotsk - Lepel and Ushachi - Ulla roads, 35 km from the city and the Polotsk railway station, 140 km from Vitebsk , 10 km from Ushach .
Content
History
It was first mentioned in 1495 as the estate, possession of Princess Ivanova Tuchina as part of the Polotsk Voivodeship . In 1665 the estate belonged to the Shields. During this period, the estate had an Orthodox church. In the XIX century. - the center of the estate of Antibor (Sorochino) in the Lepel district of Vitebsk province . According to the revision of 1833, in the estate of 214 peasant souls, the possession of the landowner I. Korsak. The estate included the villages of Sorochino, Slaveni, Krasovshchina. According to the inventory of 1846, in Sorochino there were 6 yards, 80 inhabitants.
In 1854, the wooden Orthodox Church of Archangel Michael was built. The icon of the Sorochinsky Mother of God was revered in the church. A procession was held on the day of the Ascension of the Lord from the Apanaskovichi Church to Sorochinskaya. In Sorochino, on the day of the Ascension of the Lord , a fair was held.
In 1876 it was the possession of the landowner M. Korsak. In 1886 - a village, 11 courtyards, 80 residents, an Orthodox church.
At the beginning of the XX century. Sorochino belonged to the Apanaskovichsky Orthodox parish of the Church of the Holy Spirit. In 1905, in the village of 16 yards, 100 residents, the estate has 1 yard, 12 residents. In 1910, a zemstvo school was opened in the village, on the basis of which a first-level school was created in 1918, and in 1924 children from 11 nearby settlements studied here.
Since August 20, 1924 - the center of the Sorochinsky village council of the Ushachsky district. According to the 1926 census, the village, 17 courtyards, 95 inhabitants, a farm, 7 courtyards, 39 inhabitants and the estate, 5 courtyards, 95 residents. In 1930, a collective farm was created.
In 1941, 20 yards, 80 residents. In World War II, 2 men died at the front, 5 in partisans. [2] .
