Pedro Miguel Salgadinho Pacheco de Melo ( born Pedro Miguel Salgadinho Pacheco de Melo ; born June 27, 1984 in Ponta Delgada , Portugal ) is a Canadian footballer of Portuguese descent, a defensive midfielder for the Santa Clara club and the Canadian national team .

Content

Club career

Paschek began his career at the Vitoria club of one of the lower divisions of the Portuguese championship. In 2003, he moved to Santa Clara from his hometown. In the same year, Pedro made his debut in the Sangrish League , but because of the high competition he played only two matches. At the end of the season, he left the team and went to gain experience in the clubs of the lower leagues “ Lusitania ” and “ Operario ”. In 2007, Pasheku returned to Santa Clara. On April 11, 2009, in the match against Vizela , he scored his first goal for a club from his hometown [2] .

In the summer of the same year, on the last day of the transfer window, Pedro moved to Nacional Funchal . On October 5, in a duel against Vitoria Guimaraes, he made his debut for a new team [3] . In the summer of 2010, Pasheku returned to Santa Clara.

International Career

As a child, Pedro spent some time in Canada, so he took the opportunity to play for the national team of this country when he had the opportunity. On May 24, 2010, in a friendly match against Argentina, Pasheku made his debut for the Canadian team [4] .

In 2011, he was included in the application for participation in the CONCACAF Gold Cup . At the tournament, Pedro took part in matches against the national teams of Panama [5] and Guadeloupe [6] .

In 2013, Pashek went to the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the second time. At the tournament, he played in a match against Panama [7] . In 2015, Pedro took part in the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the third time. At the tournament he was a substitute and did not enter the field.
