Choi Byung Chol ( cor. 최병철 ? , 崔秉哲? , P. 24 October 1981) - South Korean foil fencer.

Chol achieved his first major international result by winning the gold in his personal foil and the bronze medal in the team foil at the 2001 Fencing Junior World Championships. In 2007, he won a bronze medal in the team rapier at the World Fencing Championships in St. Petersburg , Russia .
Chol qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in men's individual foil. [1] On August 13, 2008, he became 15-14 in the tournament bracket, eventually losing to the silver medalist of these games, Yuki Ota from Japan in the 16th round. Chol also took part in the 2012 London Olympics and July 31, 2012, he lost to Alaeldin Abuelkassem in the semifinals, he defeated Andrea Baldini in the bronze medal match. [2]
