Biography
He was born on June 17, 1945 in Volyn in the village of Velitsk, Kovelsky district, in a family of rural teachers.
He grew up in the Kherson region , where he graduated from high school. He received a working specialty in Krivoy Rog - he graduated from SPTU No. 9. He completed army service. He studied at the Higher Literary Courses at the Literary Institute in Moscow . Member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine since 1978.
He has been writing since 12 years. He published three books of satire and humor for adults (“Fashion Victim” 1972, “Enchanted Six” - 1978, “Alphabet for Adults” - 1985) and four dozen books for children, many of which were published by Rainbow and Grailik publishers , "Children's Literature", "Flash", "Bogdan." He arranged educational collections for elementary school students, such as “Help” (ten editions), “Kobzarik” (three editions), “Divokrai”, “Children's games and entertainments”, “Funny stories”, “No matter what the beast, it’s a miracle” , “Funny poems”, “Funny company”, “Everyone is fun with us”, “What's in the bag?”, “Bag of laughter”, “Furry friends”, “Poems for children”. He is the author of textbooks for extracurricular reading “First Grader” and “Solar Overweight”, about three hundred games with letters and words “Slovogray” and “Movogray”, collections for preschool educational institutions “Svetlyachok”, “Cheberaychiki”, “Preschooler”. He has published books for the youngest readers, “Math Games”, “Fun Problem Book”, “The Secret of Ten Unknowns” and the book “Fun School”. In 2006, separate editions saw the light of the book: “Funny riddles”, “Tales and fairy tales”, “Nimble fingers”, “Cat teasers”, “Thousand tongue twisters”. He printed works in more than one hundred collections. Many children's works by Igor Sachevik are studied in elementary school. They are contained in the ABC Book, anthology, readers and methodological developments.
In 2003, the writer wrote and published as a separate book the story "The Incredible Adventures of Baron Munchausen in Ukraine." The famous German hero finds himself in Ukraine , where he joins the Cossack army. Most of the adventures that he tells about take place in the settlement where he lives, as well as throughout Ukraine, including in Kiev . The author sees Ukraine through the eyes of a foreign hero - this gives him the opportunity to take a closer look at the events of that time, to show the polar features of the Ukrainians. Ukrainian folklore and demonology are widely used in the story; traditions, customs and everyday life of Ukrainians are described. The main character of the work is humor, adventure, optimism. The author seeks to attract the attention of not only foreigners, but also Ukrainians themselves to the history of Ukraine. In 2003, Igor Sachevik wrote the satirical political novel “Durillo” (Confession of the Presidential Doggie) [1] .
In 2012, Igor Sachevik wrote two novels on the same topic for middle-aged children, “The Knot Formula, or How to Unravel the Ball of Secrets” and “Computer Alchemy” [2] .
Waiting for the publication of two new books "Big Alphabet" and "Everything starts from scratch." Igor Sachevik has his own website, Slovograi, which has been visited by more than three hundred thousand readers.
