Sultan Agahalil oglu Halilbeyli ( November 16, 1930 - 1965) - Soviet chess player ; 1st Azerbaijan master of sports of the USSR ( 1956 ).

In 1938, he began to study drafts in the Baku Palace of Pioneers. From 1944 to 1947 - Baku champion in drafts among young men. In 1946, he also became interested in chess. [one]
He played for Baku "Petrel". Champion of the Azerbaijan SSR (1954, 1958). In 1959 and 1961 took the 2nd place. The best result in the semifinals of the USSR championship - XXVI - 7–9 places. Director of the Baku Chess Club.
