History
For the first time, it was artificially mentioned in 1515, when a Catholic parish was formed here [2] . In the same period, the owner of the settlement Andrei Dovoinovich built a wooden church of the Holy Trinity [5] .
In 1740, Yan Val came to the possession of Islan, who built the estate here. In 1755-1758, his son, Grodno corral Y. Val, built a stone church in the Baroque style, consecrated in the name of the Holy Trinity [6] .
In the XIX century, a low single-tier bell tower was built near the temple.
Architecture
The temple is a one-nave building with a five-sided apse and side vestries . The dominant position in the composition is occupied by the main facade, on the sides of which there are square towers in plan plan, protruding prominently from the main volume. The towers have helmet-shaped finishes. The front and side planes of the towers are surrounded by cornices, dissected by flat rectangular panels and cut by rectangular, arched and semicircular window openings. The side facades of the building are completed with cornices and divided in the upper part by two rows of arched windows [4] .
Three altars and pulpit made in the rococo style stand out in the interior . The main altar is bunk. The first tier, mounted on a high base, is divided into three parts by columns of the Corinthian order , separated from the second tier by a wave-shaped entablature with stucco decoration. In the center of the main altar there is a large image of the Holy Family, on the left - the icon of "St. Peter ”, on the right -“ Baptism ”. Two side altars are dedicated to St. Anne and Our Lady of Ostrobramskoy, with a shape and decor reminiscent of the main one, but slightly less than it, crowned with sculptural compositions. The pulpit is wavy in shape, decorated with stucco rockyle and sculptural composition on biblical themes. On the right wall is a stucco high relief composition "Archangel Michael conquers Evil" [4] [6] .
An 18th-century stone sundial made by order in Vilna is set next to the church. According to some sources, this is the only sundial in Belarus [7] .
